Sekima II members gather once more in 2010 for a world takeover eighteen years in the making.

On December 31st, 1999 the band completed their goal of “world takeover” at the outset of their career in 1985 and disbanded. Now with their 25th anniversary approaching, Sekima II have announced that they will be reuniting for a limited time only to perform a set of special concerts and their first overseas tour in eighteen years.

In 2008 a Sekima II collaboration with renowned anime creator Shizuno Koubun produced the animated short “Sekima II Demon-stration * Short Anime” which grew a following when it was released to Western internet sites. It wasn’t long before there was talk of Sekima II releasing overseas, which lead to the members reuniting in secret to enter the recording studio. What came out of this was AKUMA NATIVITY “SONGS OF THE SWORD,” a greatest hits collection featuring all new recordings of previous hits redone with full English lyrics and released to 21 countries outside Japan. In all, 17 songs are included. This is to be released as an import in Japan on September 16th.

This new release will be followed by a 25th anniversary World tour and Japanese tour as well as appearances at summer music festivals.

聖飢魔II 1999年12月31日にデビュー時（1985年）の公約通り“地球征服を完了”しグループを解 散したロックバンドの聖飢魔IIが、デビュー25周年となる2010年に期間限定でメンバー が再集結、18年ぶりに海外でライブを行うことを発表した。

欧米でも高い評価を得ているアニメクリエーター静野孔文監督とコラボレートして 生まれた「聖飢魔IIデモンストレーション・ショートアニメ」が海外のサイトを中心 に話題となったのが2008年。聖飢魔IIの海外発売の話が急展開で盛り上がり、元構成 員（バンドメンバー）を招集しレコーディングが極秘に行われ、7月15日には、日本以外 の世界21か国で全編英語詞・再録音によるBEST盤的内容 『AKUMA NATIVITY “SONGS OF THE SWORD”』全17曲がiTMS（音楽配信サイト）を中心に発布（発売）。その海外での評 判を けて、9月16日には日本でも逆輸入という形でアルバム『悪魔　NATIVITY“SONGS OF THE SWORD”』が発売された。

この最新作の発売を経て、2010年には“地球デビュー25周年期間限定再集結ワールド ツアー＆ジャパンツアー”が行われることも 表。メンバーが再集結し、“ミサツアー” と称されるライブ公演が、北米、EU、ASIA諸国を巡る全10か所で開催される予定。ま た、日本で 24本の全国ホールツアーが計画されており、夏のロックフェスティバル などへの出演も検討されている。
